These companies have different purposes and I've used them both.
Paneltronics builds electrical distribution panels. I measured the size I
had available for my panel and made paper cutouts of their stock AC and DC
CN boards and shuffled them around on a piece of past board until I had it
exactly right. Made a copy and sent it to them and they fabricated it for
me. They were a pleasure to work with and the finished product is a sight to
behold.
Now Front Panel Express will custom make smaller panels for you. They have
down loadable software to design it. Lay out the panel, switch locations,
meters, etc and send it to them by email along with credit card info and
they'll manufacturer it and send it back to you. Never talk to a human.
Excellent turn around time, too. I designed a panel to control and monitor
my 4 bilge pumps, 5 switches, 5 LED's and a cycle and hour meter for the
maintenance pump. Looks very professional.
