T&T: Anchor Chain washing

I have been thinking about installing a seperate thru hull, pump etc for chain
washing but I hate to put another hole in the boat.  Has anyone tried using
one of the smaller presuure washers which could be plugged into a receptacle
in the wheel house? I think Marin's point about the really gluey mud is well
taken.  We have some of that in the East Coast.
