T&T: Anchor chain washing

Regarding a fixed anchor chain washdown, I'd like to hear from
someone who has done this for tips on making it work.

I use a hand held pressure washer to clean my chain. But many of the
places I anchor the mud is so thick that I have to bring it up a
couple of feet at a time for the person to clean it off from all
different angles. It seems like I would need multiple nozzles from
different directions or a huge volume of water, such that it didn't
matter. Then there is the issue of if the chain is not coming
directly up (sometimes I am not able to keep the bow directly over
the chain that has wandered a bit .)
