I've installed many holding tank systems and have had great luck with
Sealand Odorlos Plus. The "Plus" is their newest product. Don't know where
you got the idea the quality of it was "suspect", but I think it's every bit
as good as the Trident 101. Not familiar with the Shields product.

It was Peggie Hall in another forum that mentioned that the new Sealand
OdorSafe may not be as good as the old one, which was the Australian AVS96
hose. Sealand's website claims that the new one (OdorSafe Plus) is slightly
better in terms of permeation than the old one, but that may be biased
information. It appears that OdorSafe only comes in 1-1/2" ID, and I need a
1" ID hose since that is the discharge diameter of the electric head which has
a built-in macerator.

But my original post was to ask the list whether any one has had experience
with the Shields Poly X Sanitation Hose, which is a lot more expensive ($13/ft
for the 1" ID) than the competition but it is made of polyurethane vs vinyl.
It may be worth the money since they warranty permeation for life.
