In the process of replacing an electric head, I have decided that it was time
to replace the hoses as well. It is 3/4" intake, and 1" discharge into a
LectraSan. The question is what is the best sanitation hose nowadays? It
used to be AVS96 from Australia, then they stopped selling it in U.S. but
picked up by Sealand and rebranded as OdorSafe. Then Sealand was purchased by
Dometic and OdorSafe hoses are no longer the AVS96, but an Italian source
which quality is suspect. So, I was Googling and have decided that there are
two good models out there. One is the Shields Poly X Sanitation Hose which is
about $13/ft for the 1" hose, and the other possibility is the new Trident
SaniShield 101 for about $7/ft. What is the list's recommendation? Are
Shields and Trident the same company now?
