We're currently in Boston attached to a mooring (a rockin' and rollin'
mooring, at that) at the end of Long Wharf. Very handy to everything
downtown and about four blocks from Little Italy. We depart tomorrow
(weather is good) for Gloucester and the Blynman Canal/Annisquam River.
We've cannot find any information in Eldridge or Coastal Pilot about the
direction the tide runs in the canal - we want to run it on a rising
tide, if possible. We'll then head to the Isle of Shoals and a mooring
there; the Waterway Guide indicates that you can just use a vacant mooring.
Anyone out there with knowledge about which direction a rising/falling
tide runs in the Blynman Canal/Annisquam River?
Anyone with recent experience at the Isle of Shoals and the availability
of moorings?
