On a west wind off that piece of the coast you'll have house flys biting and
bothering you in the ocean I've even had them way offshore. The green heads
are a pita this time of year but on a breezy day really are not that bad
although you'll find them anytime your near the salt water marshs. DO NOT
try and come in L.E. as the bouys are not on station and you will run
aground. You nay slide in the north way (holgate) never seeing less then 6
ft. but do not even think about L.E. inlet. The back waters as not a big
deal well marked and yes a little shallow but there is a tide you can play
