T&T: Replacing Screens

Gary,
The screen on the forward hatch on Morningstar is set into a teak frame.
Unlike yours it isn't a sandwich of wood though, rather it is set in a spline
groove. Cut the existing screen out w/ a razor knife, route a groove in the
teak with a router and guide and reinstall new screen using round rubber or
soft plastic spline. You can find spline an most any good hardware store and
it is available in different thickness. The main problem I see is that it is
visible. In my case no one can see it. Don't know if yours would be covered
by the window frame. Having the screen held in w/ spline makes replacing the
screen a one minute project...just about the quickest job I can do on my
boat.
