T&T: Maptech's Future

While some of us took advantage of Captain Jacks "going out of business" sale, it is an indicator of the further dismantling of Maptech.  They have sold off, closed, or put on standby much of their business.  This includes Maptech no longer updating NOAA's online raster charts.

A sad time time indeed.

In the short run, if you are thinking of going south of the border (US) or across the big pond - Maptech's DVD chart sets for the Mexico/Central America, the Med, and England are all now priced at $150 each.

I hope that the sale of the remainder of Maptech happens soon, and that the buyer revitalizes them.
