Joel and All,

On my old sailboat, over the years in Florida, a lot of mold grew on
many fiberglass hull and underdeck surfaces. I went to our local
Glidden paint store and had them mix up a gallon of white semi-gloss
enamel paint with extra mildicide in it. Some I could roll on, the
rest was brushed on.

One coat and the problem was cured. I bleached the surfaces prior to
painting (to kill the mold) with a sponge, but could not sand or
otherwise prepare the surfaces as some were quite rough. Absolutely
no mold for the remaining 10 years that I owned that boat. The
interior of the cabinets were nice and shiny-bright as were the bilges, etc.

YMMV. No connection other than as a satisfied customer.

Take care and be safe.
