Hi Michael,

No Verizon no longer works in Abaco...and when it did, it was only analog.

My marina (www.jibroom.com) supplies free WiFi. As I cruise around Abaco, I
sign up for Out Island Internet WiFi (http://www.abacoinet.com/), which has
a fair amount of locations (http://www.abacoinet.com/locations.html).
External antennas are helpful, but my Mac iBook does pretty well without an
external antenna. 

Caution: too much connectivity can spoil the island mood.
