Just my 2 cents. I have always used 2 stroke engines with no problems. I
recently bought a new, 5 HP Nissan 4 stroke engine. It runs well, is quiet and all
that. The problem is that I use it seldom because it is too heavy for me to
lift easily.( 55 pounds or so) I have about 2 hours on it. My previous 4 HP 2
stroke weighed 28 pounds, manageable for me (yep, I am an old fa--) . I might
consider a swap for a new 2 stroke for my new 4 stroke. I was unable to buy a 2
stroke because I lived in CA where they are no longer sold. For those who are
concerned about pollution as I am, Pennzoil marine fully synthetic 2 stroke
oil claims to be biodegradable.
