Steve,
I was not aware of anyone using Aluminum for anodes on boats, but you
are right. I think the reason AL has not be popular in the past was
mostly a matter of cost. Zinc was a lot less expensive than AL in the past.
A quick search of the internet shows many suppliers. A quick check to
see what the prices are like seems like AL anodes are not much more
expensive than zinc, today.
