T&T: Aluminum anodes

I have seen several ads describing aluminum anodes as better suited for  
saltwater use than zinc ones. Ads saying in fresh water to use magnesium zinc in  
brackish or salt water and that aluminum would perform better than zinc in  
saltwater. I usually boat in very salty brackish water and salt water, has  any 
one had experience with the aluminum anodes under those conditions or any  
comments on their use?
