Boy, If I followed that apporach my dive boat would never leave the dock. I 
run a very narrow unmarked about 80 ft wide  channel (of nav. water) each 
time I go out at high tide it's a bit wider. Very hard sand waitting right 
outside of the channel. Also when I get to the approach to the ocean it's 
also unmarked and has a couple very nice bars waitting for you to screw up.I 
wouldn't run a chart plotter, but I'd be dead lost without my two northstars 
(one waas and one differental). I watch them both and that way if one has an 
issue I count on the other. I've run in almost 0 vis with them and they've 
always taken me through (in around ten years of running this channel). Once 
I thought I was smarter and yes I ran aground hard. Bill
