You will have to determine how _your_ boat is wired in order to answer
this question.

If the fridge is AC-only, it would seem sensible to have it powered
from the inverter when shore power is not available - but there's no
guarantee that it was wired that way.

Many marine/RV fridges are will run from either 120VAC or 12VDC, using
AC if available, and automatically switching to DC when the AC is not
available. (I've often wondered why they bother having the 120VAC
option - if AC is available, you probably have a battery charger
running, so there's no problem leaving the fridge running on DC
full-time...)
