Hello all,
I'm passing this on for a friend who is crusing and has no Internet access:
"I'd like to ask a research favor from you as well. It looks like our
speed transducer crapped out. Airmar makes a non-paddlewheel transducer
that works off of ultrasonic signal (I think) measurements of small
bubbles and particles in the water. This new style has been out for several
years now and I'm wondering if there are any rumblings about it, good,
bad, or indifferent. Not having to clean a paddle wheel would be nice,
but not if the sensor doesn't work for well."
The Airmar unit he's referring to is the CS4500, http://www.airmartechnology.com/airmar2005/ex20/RMProducts/ElectCat.asp?ProdID=68&Man=All&PageNo=131
Any input will be helpfull.
Thanks,
John
