T&T: Gardner Engine

As I said, Gardner no longer manufactures new engines. This is my third
boat with a Gardner in it, previous was an 80' New Zealand motorsailer with
an 8L3B and an earlier boat with a 6LX. I love them. In my view, they are
the finest marine diesel ever made. I am not making this up. I have spoken
to the folks @ Gardner in the past and gotten what I consider the straight
scoop from them. I continue to order Gardner filters from the UK. You can
all parse whether or not new Gardners are currently made all you want. This
does not make it true. There is no reason why a properly maintained
remanufactured Gardner will not manage to operate another 40-50,000 hrs.
