T&T: 24V starter, 12V house bank - Ugh!

 Mark,

 Did the dealer install a MARINE starter?   I think marine starters are
 required to prevent internal sparks from igniting flammable gases.  I know
 diesel is not flammable, but hydrogen from charging batteries or propane
 from the stove (if fitted) is.
