T&T: 24V starter, 12V house bank - Ugh!

Surely the Cat Dealer, if they put in the wrong starter, will take it  out 
and install in the correct one. If the mechanic or service manager balks  call 
the general manager if he won't help ask for the name of the Caterpillar  
factory representative for that area and talk to him. What possible excuse could  
they have for not making it right?
