T&T: Solar Panels design system and supplier

I have a 100 watt panel that at peak sun puts out 5 amps. It starts
sourcing 1 amp at around 8am, a full 5 amps around noon and back to 1
amp about an hour before sundown.
Greg's set up would source more than twice that during these times. So I
would put the amp hours up around 70 to 80 during the summer months.
That would cover the total consumed by the refrig.

Greg

keep us posted, I'm interested in knowing how it works out in the REAL
world!

i'm curious though, the spec sheet for that panel shows 7.39 Amp max...

http://www.kyocerasolar.com/pdf/specsheets/KC130GT.pdf

how did they come up with 17.5 amps inthe specs they gave you ? last
time i looked into it , i figured each average panel would only generate
about 30 to 40AH a day (5 to 6 hours MAX, and that may be optimistic
evnein so fl), saving only 20 min. of gennny runtime per day (freedom 30
charging at
140amps) ... at 1gph and $3.5 that's about $1 a day fuel saving.... need
600
days on the hook to pay for itself. Was my math wrong ?

btw... you cruised past us about 10 days ago (windy sunday afternoon),
we were anchored off KBYC, i saw the name and thought it sounded
familiar....
didn't put 2 and 2 together till now..
