Subject: T&T: Bossboat
Hello Listees, I know there has been discussion of
Jollyboat/Bossboat/and now under another
name rigid fiberglass tenders from time to time. please give me a feel
for the pros and cons versus a high quality
RIB?
Thanks, Jim Laudermilch

REPLY: Jim, I had a RIB from BoatUS for about 6 years and it was a
major PITA the whole time I owned it. Every time I wanted to use it it
was flat and had a leak somewhere. When you went to use it in the
morning it was limp. Pump it up and at noon it was as tight as a banjo
string as the air expanded as it warmed up. It still took up a lot of
space for the Rib hull so storage was a issue. About 5 years ago I
bought a Boss Boat from Ft Myers. It was the best thing I ever did. I
bought the 8.5 model and it holds 4 - 150 lb. adults for short trips to
the dock and with my 9.5 2 stroke and my 250 lb body it will plane and
about 25 MPH. the foam filled FG hull is stable and safe. One of the
Best upgrade I made to the boat!!!!
