I'm beginning to see hard tube inflatables more now. While heavier than air
filled tubes, they appear extremely rugged and the red towing company has
some deployed..(TOWBOAT US?).
And they should fare better if you land regularly on rocky beaches like Maine,
but they'll likely mark your big boat hull when bumping more than an air
filled inflatable. And if you boat in cool evenings and hot days, you'll not
have a soft tube then a hard one to deal with...
One thing I don't know...do they self drain? My 11 ft Whaler will remain
almost without water with a 15 HP aboard...a nice feature in rains/storms; no
air filled inflatable (Zodiac, Whaler, Caribe) has ever done that for me...Do
the BOSS boats and their like drain dry???
