the Tygon Ultra Chemical resistant PVC tubing (McMaster Carr part number
5046K15) is clear, not yellow. As shown in the referenced brochure, 5233KAC,
"brochure" on chemical compatability of PVC tubing, page 2, 5046K Tygon Ultra
Chemical (tubing) is rated "A", for Diesel Fuel: "No Effect - Excellent
chemical resistance. No performance degradation."
this chemical compatability is in reference to the specific product, McMaster
part number 5046K.
I cannot vouch for other Tygon products, but can report that after two years
the McMaster part number 5046K15 is as clear as the day I installed it.
Note that this product has a thin inner tube (the Tygon Ultra Chemical
resistant part, I assume) that is contained in a thicker wall outer tube.
Reasonable care must be used when installing using barbed fittings to make
sure that the thin inner tube is pushed over the barbs and not damaged.

I've used Tygon Ultra which is tinted a yellow color and is supposed to not
darken with diesel fuel .I've used it twice now for my sight gauges on four
tanks. Within three months it is so dark you can see the fuel level even wth a
flashlight. Have new tanks, clean fuel and algae removers and clean filters. I
would strongly recommend the nylon reinforced tubing from west marine or home
depot they have been clear for over two years
