Rich, Coastal Explorer cannot natively import Excel spreadsheet data. But
there is a program that will convert .csv format to Coastal Explorer format
(and many others). So you should be able to save your excel sheet in .csv
format the go to this site - http://www.gpsbabel.org/readme.html
