T&T: uploading pc data to a chart plotter

I have a pair of Furuno 1700C's, one of which is the head and the other of
which is a chart plotter. Of course either can be used in either function.

Just got around to looking at the chart plotter function and it's a bit clunky
compared to the CAPN on my laptop which is a breeze. I have an adapter to go
from the GD100C to the computer ut I'm having trouble figuring out how to
export the data. The CAPN is looking for a drive and I don't see the chart
plotter on it.

Idea is to have two separate plotters, operating from separate GPS's to
compare track data.

Help.
