Sometimes the way a question is phrased is the key to the answer you get. I
was looking at the Shakespeare 390 antenna an I couldn't find anyone who had
it at a reasonable price who could ship it at a reasonable price. Then I
discovered the DA 534-SSW at a "reasonable" price but the mounting specs
require a deck mount. I have no place on which to do this. So, now I'm looking
at the 544-SSW which, although it's 16' long is "electrically" 24. I received
one very good report from a listee and some followup thinking by another
offline.

Does anyone have any experience with the shorter antenna? Any thoughts? It
certainly be an easier, stronger installation.
