We are also in a Marina near Baltimore and the electric had been included
with the slip rental (less than $3k a year).  Upon renewing for 2009 we were
informed that since we have 3 air conditioner units we will be assessed an
additional $250 a year for each A/C unit ($750 more a year).  This is
whether or not we use them - just because we have them.  They apologetically
stated that the high cost of electricity is killing them.

I expressed my opinion regarding the assessment but kind of understand their
dilemma.  Even with the rate hike the marina is still worth the price.
