T&T: Ballards Ft. Myers, FL

Hi Jim & Peg,  Saw you go by and waved.

Ballards has been a mainstay for diesel in Ft. Myers for years.  I would
reinterate the following for a good experience.

Call ahead by phone not by radio as they do not monitor.  This ensures you
will not be standing off waiting for a shirmper to finish fueling.

The pilings are big, strong and intimidating and set more for commerical boats
as opposed to pleasure craft.

Be mindful of the tidal flow at the dock.

Ballards has almost become a tradition for us when in SW Florida.  It is not
in many of the guides I suspect because there is no marina attached--It is
only a gas station.  I think they may sell ice to shrimpers also.
