I have a 23' Shakespeare on my Grand Banks. It attaches to the bulwarks at
the stern and is supported farther up by the roof covering the lazarette.
Keep in mind that you will have to have a support about 5' up from the base
of the antenna to keep it vertical. A 23 footer is not self supporting from
the base.

I need to mount a 23' ssb antenna. My welded aluminum Bimini frame extends
out
far enough to preclude mounting the antenna on a vertical side of the cabin.
I
would like to mount the antenna, along with the 8' vhf antennas I already
have
mounted on the Bimini frame. What I've done with the other antennas is to
use
sections of 3/8" x 2 1/2 aircraft grade aluminum through bolted with 3/8" ss
hardware onto the frame so that I have a3 2 1/2 x 3 horizontal platform for
the adjustable antenna mounts.
Has anyone any experience with a base mounted installation of this antenna?
Guys?
