T&T: Shakespeare 390 SSB antenna

I need to mount a 23' ssb antenna. My welded aluminum Bimini frame extends out
far enough to preclude mounting the antenna on a vertical side of the cabin. I
would like to mount the antenna, along with the 8' vhf antennas I already have
mounted on the Bimini frame. What I've done with the other antennas is to use
sections of 3/8" x 2 1/2 aircraft grade aluminum through bolted with 3/8" ss
hardware onto the frame so that I have a3 2 1/2 x 3  horizontal platform for
the adjustable antenna mounts.

Has anyone any experience with a base mounted installation of this antenna?
