Sid,

I do not have an I/C as big as yours (5KW?). Back in the spring, there was
a discussion of these devices on this list. The conclusion at that time was
that Magma made great equipment. So, I installed a Magma 2K pure sine wave
inverter/charger with remote control this fall. I did the work myself. The
most complicated part of the installation was the mechanical fitup. The
electrical installation/connection was a breeze. Magma's instructions are
clear and easy to follow. The unit works very well, cut my genset run time
significantly, does not create a lot of RF noise, and basically, I'm really
happy with it. It replaced a ProMariner battery charger that did create a
lot of RF noise. When I called ProMariner for help with noise suppression,
they totally blew me off. I was totally unimpressed with their tech support
response. I have not needed Magma tech support, but I can't recommend
ProMariner.
