T&T: AC Stop Leak

I know there are a some knowledgeable air conditioning people on this forum
and this question is directed at them. I know enough about air conditioning
to be dangerous. I have a persistent leak in the salon ac unit. This is a
16,000 Marine Air split unit. For the last couple of years I have been
trying to solve this issue. It requires freon22 three time a year. The
local ac tech is touting a sealer, particularly one described at
http://www.cliplight.com/hvacr/products.php?catID=27

My instincts tell me to run away from this solution. One of my neighbors
with the same boat had a similar problem but has gone a year and a half
after the sealer was installed. Several other dock mates have used the
sealer without problems and it has apparently solved slow leak issues.

My question is should I let the guy install the sealer or hold out for a
more conventional fix?

thanks
