No  doubt this was created by ACR's legal department. ACR has always produced 
fine  products IMHO, but they won't get any more of my business as long as 
this policy  exists.

after 12 years, they won't service a product at all, saying it's no longer  
reliable. That means with a battery replacement schedule of every five  
years, you better not get behind! You'll get 15 years max use out of the  
thing. Also keep this in mind if you purchase a used model, or buy a boat  
that has one.
