T&T: AIS Class B status

Panbo had a blog entry back on June 8 about the Shine Micro AIS class B
that can be purchased now for $799 with receive only capability and when
the FCC approves class B you can pay $200 to have the transmit
activated.
 
On Panbo.com click on AIS under "Categories" and it's currently the 3rd
entry down the page.

It is time for me to make my AIS purchase, and if Class B is not going
to be
approved anytime soon, I will bite the bullet on the added expense for
a
Class A (as I want to have a transponder, and not just a receiver).  

Does anyone have any reliable information on the FCC status of this
issue.
I can find nothing helpful on their site (or otherwise!).
