T&T: AIS Class B status

Listers:

It is time for me to make my AIS purchase, and if Class B is not going to be
approved anytime soon, I will bite the bullet on the added expense for a
Class A (as I want to have a transponder, and not just a receiver).  

Does anyone have any reliable information on the FCC status of this issue.
I can find nothing helpful on their site (or otherwise!).
