You should check the brushes in the windlass. If they are worn down, you
may hear that sound as they arc to the armature.

Subject: T&T: ANchor windlass quesstion

I have an Easy Anchor Puller windlass, which up till today worked flawless.

I have 13 volts to the switch , thru the switch, and at the windlass.

When I hit up or down, the celinoids make a "krinling" (sorta like bacon
frying) noise but won't activate the windlass. Nothing seems to be burnt or

burning. I would guess the sound is they are not activating.

Any sugestions on what to check.? I can't imagine both celinoids going out
at once. Any idears will be greatly appriciate, pulling the anchor by hand
sucks.!

Happy Cruising!
