Radar, I will often say: Go down and see what the Fishing boats are
using...

If you are not sold on the integrated units, you can get great values on
Furuno non-integrated radars used.  Mostly as take-outs from folks
upgrade to the newest units.  Ala a Furuno 1932 can be had for $400 -
$500, with usual cautions around used anything.  Even a good 4-6KW / 10"
CRT one can be found for $1,200 - $1,500.
