T&T: 3208 CAT Part # needed

I need a part # and source for a fuel shutoff solenoid on my CAT 3208 TA,
375hp.  The solenoid has a rubber cap on top with a visible plunger that pops
up when starting and goes down when the engine is shut off. The CAT
distributor in Milwaukee sold me a replacement solenoid (#6N9988) that is
fully enclosed but does not work the way I wired it. I wired it the same as
the old with wires going to the 2 contacts and a jumper in between.

I know this is not the most coherent post but I hope it shows what I need.

Any help on part 3 or wiring will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
