T&T: Kohler Generator running speed

As others have said, the engine speed of conventional generators
determines the frequency of the AC power produced (and probably the
voltage), so you don't want to change the engine speed.
You may be thinking of the Honda EU2000 and similar generators - those
units apparently consist of a DC generator driving an inverter. In
this case, the inverter controls the output frequency and voltage, and
the engine speed can be varied depending on load.
