T&T: 12 volt interior lights

That's how the old ones used to be, but when I was looking for lights a 
year ago the ones like that at our local Home Debit didn't have the 
transformerany more. Don't know it the fixture has an internal 
transformer, or it they  are just 110v lamps.

Most likely  the transformer is internal.  mine were.  The clue is to 
look carefully at the actual bulb. 
you may need a magnifying glass  bu tread the voltage laser printed on 
the actual bulb glass near the base. 
I bought some  halogen lights form Home Depot and removed the  internal 
transformer  for use in my RV directly from the battery.

If you are getting your Xenon bulbs from an industrial source,  get the 
14V version  rather than the 12V type. 
14V last much longer  on a 12V DC system  being held at 13.8  - 14.2V by 
a charging source  fed by shore power.  (or an alternator.)
