Hi Jim -

I'd keep the inverter and buy a dedicated charger. Probably Charles. Their
stuff is UL listed and in some cases ABS approved. Funny how no one ever talks
about Charles. You'll pay a bit more, but I learned a long time ago that you
get what you pay for.

Too bad Charles doesn't make a combo unit - there must be a good reason.
Arild?

It is an old heart freedom 2500 msw unit that has worked well for the last
13 years. Now is my chance to buy a true sine wave unit ;-)

I'm wondering what the list thinks is the good (read industrial quality)
unit to buy today. The new xantrex ms3000 has interesting specs and fits the
space I have. Does anybody have any experience with this unit?

The real question is, if you were going to buy a high end high quality 2.5
to 3 kw inverter/charger what would it be.

Your input gratefully appreciated as I have to order it in the morning.

Arild, if your out there please please add your comments!

TIA
