Sorry this took so long to post.
One of my favorite self-truisms is: "I look, but I do not see." The answer
was right in my hand!
I use a Logitech MX610 cordless laser mouse, but the Setpoint software had
been uninstalled at some point and I didn't realize its capabilities. As it
turns out, all twelve controls on this mouse can be reprogrammed. What's really
neat is that you can customize all these controls for any and all programs
on the machine. You can even assign a multiple keystroke command to any
control.
In addition to the usual left and right clicks, I have it set up so the
scroll wheel zooms the chart in and out; moving it left or right pans left and
right and the "forward" and "back" buttons on the left side pan up and down.
The "email" button emulates F12 which toggles between planning and cruise
modes. I have not re-programmed the volume up/down/mute or messenger buttons.
Thanks to all who responded!
Regards,
John

> Am running CE and want a cordless mouse with 6 programmable buttons so I
can zoom in/out and pan right/left & up/down from the helm chair. Can't find
any at Logitech or via Google. Ideas appreciated.
