T&T: Confiscating laptops

Evening Jim,

Unlikely, but possible.

That being said, what is your plan if the laptop hard drive dies?

So, if I was worried, I'd backup that data on a USB memory stick, portable
hard drive or stop at an internet cafe on Vancouver Island and save on a
server somewhere.

Just like I'd keep a copy of my navigation waypoints etc on something other
than the laptop I'm using the navigation software upon.

Personally I think rogue waves, rain, lightning strikes and dropping the
laptop overboard are a greater threat to your data.
