T&T: renting car

When we rent at Ft. Lauderdale airport we can get a free drop to our
house at Key Biscayne. Beats a cab ride. Going the other way we have
to pay a 50 fee to drop at the airport. Its still cheaper than a cab
for this long ride.

I think Enterprise and probably others are playing the capacity
control game where prices vary a lot depending on availability.  With
Enterprise you should use your discount number to get a corporate
account. It gives you sometimes an additional benefit. At Ft L we went
to the checkout corp line and skipped maybe 10 people waiting in the
regular line.

To get the best rate you shoudl reserve as far ahead as possible.  Our
recent local rental would have been double over July 4th if we had not
reserved months ahead.

With the recent inflation and gas price chaos the rental rates have
really gone up.

I thing at Solomons Is the Hertz place will let you drop at BWI for
free (at least when I rented).

As has been said- you must shop around.
