T&T: A very public thank you to this list

I enjoy this list immensely. Many of your posts are immediately helpful. Many
others I file as I think they may be helpful at a future date. I thank every
one of you for your posts. And now for one individual I would like to award a
"Medal of Honor" for service  above and beyond anything that could be expected
and it goes to show what a wonderful community this list is. I had been
looking for hand rail gate hardware so I could add an additional gate on the
starboard side close to the stern as we carry two kayaks on deck on that side
blocking the existing gate (which is too high anyway). In a post by Bob Siegel
he mentioned "There is an excellent although somewhat disorganized
flea-junk-used stuff outfit in a warehouse at Fairwinds Marina, Cape St.
Clare, Annapolis." But when I phoned Fairwinds they explained that they
thought they may have what I was looking for but they were strictly a
self-serve outfit. So I screwed up all my courage and asked Bob if there was
any chance that the next time he was there he could look for hardware with my
required dimensions. Bob's reply was priceless: "Gary- Will print out
dimensions and be at Fairwinds probably next week. Must allow a couple of
hours for the search there plus a shower afterwards. Bob Siegel Annapolis"
Bob didn't find the parts I required (and I have since located some that will
work) but I want to thank him and everyone else for making this list what it
is: fun, informative and very very valuable!!!
