Marin,
yes, you read my post correctly.
I always kept the hook out of the water because that is what I had
seen and experienced.
I knew I had the option to lower the hook deep into the water if I
could not hold with the 7:1 scope, but the need never arose.
I guess I kind of answered my own question. If I lower the the hook
until it is nearly at the bottom, I have in fact "kelletized" the
anchor...
