A variation I have used over the years is to mix a little epoxy
fiberglass and with a wooden match stick, dab a drop on each
stripped/oversize hole...let dry, and the following day re screw with the
same size stud. It is sometimes useful to thicken the liquid with a bit
of the thickening agent material for that purpose which will prevent the
liquid from running down into the hole or at least thicken the coating
within the hole. Other times a longer stud can work.
As noted, always dab the new stud in a bit of caulk before inserting into
the fiberglass as water WILL wick down and can drip if the inner end is
exposed.
When crew removes fabric covers, be sure they understand how lift a dot
fasteners work..otherwise they tend to pull/yank and stress covers and
studs....
