 Hi Michel

I don't have any personal experience with the yards in Port Townsend but my
boating buddy swears by them. See http://www.portofpt.com/shipyard.htm.
There are lots of marine shops in the area and do it yourselfers are
welcome. There is a reasonable motel in walking distance too.

Also there is maintenance available at Hudson Pt. Marina.

What ever choice you make, good luck with the project.

Subject: T&T: Fiberglass and Paint Yard in the Northwest

Hello all -

I have a 60' Trawler that is in need of extensive fiberglass and paint work.
I am looking for a place to have the work done. From a location
perspective, I am open to anywhere from Vancouver Island down through
Olympia. I figure it is going to take a couple of months to do the work so
it will be worth the time it takes to move the boat.

I would appreciate hearing any recommendation people have on yards they
would recommend and yards they would stay away from. Also, if you have an
opinion on key questions or consideration I should be aware of, please pass
that along as well.

Thanks!
Michel
