T&T: Belts for Twin Belt alternators

All this talk about bigger alternators with two belts reminds me that I have a
question about that. When I first went to 150 amp alternators I was able to
buy "matched sets" of belts (at NAPA I beleive). More recently NAPA claims
that the manufacturing specs are so good that matched sets are no longer
needed. True?
